"Without Deniese Morrison's tuition and advice in the early years of my career, I would have been clueless! Deniese taught me how to present myself as an artist and ultimately, how to entertain an audience. The best part is, she taught me not how to emulate others, but to be the best ME I could possibly be on stage. I draw on her words of wisdom still to this day and feel so proud to have learnt from one of the best in the business."
Beccy Cole, February 2006

STAGECOACH is a program of  Performance Tuition and Workshops for aspiring singers AND musicians in the Country Music Industry.

My aim is to equip students with the knowledge and skills ( and tricks) necessary to improve their stage performance and overall professionalism as entertainers.

The course covers all aspects of stagecraft in a structured and practical curriculum which encourages students to 'get involved and find themselves'.

Everyone is welcome to STAGECOACH Workshops.  One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learnt in the music industry is that you are never too old to learn new tricks!

There is a lot of emphasis placed on songwriting these days, which is great and very important, but if an artist doesn’t know how to make their songs sparkle in performance, then we are creating a generation of songwriters who generally aren’t very good entertainers. STAGECOACH Workshops are designed to complement songwriting workshops and the curriculum of The College of Country Music and Camerata.

At this point in my career I am asked to judge artists in various competitions all around Australia. Most notably I have been a STAR MAKER judge for a number of years.

Time and time again I find myself frustrated when I hear a great singer or songwriter who with the correct guidance in their stage performance could be so much more successful.

In the 38 years I’ve been in the music industry, one of my most rewarding experiences was as a founding tutor at the College of Country Music for the first four years from 1997 to 2000.

STAGECOACH gives me the opportunity to work with our up and coming artists again and pass on the wealth of experience and knowledge which has been so generously passed on to me by some of the world’s best performers during my career.

STAGECOACH Workshops are not only for singers but also for musicians.

Too often we see an artist working hard out the front to entertain their audience while the musicians behind them have dead pan faces, looking bored and totally disinterested in what’s happening on the stage and not contributing in any way to the entertainment value of the show. Great musicians are great performers too.

The workshops are conducted in all Australian states and territories and beyond enabling Country Music Clubs, organisations and individual artists to benefit from Deniese's expertise and vast experience and the networking opportunities available to the STAGECOACH family.

Individual tuition is also available on request.

You can register your interest by contacting me (see details below).

Come on and shine!
